Mexico
Mexico has so much to offer both in-land and on the coast. There’s ancient history with the Aztec and Mayan temples, there’s cultural festivals like The Day of the Dead, and then there’s the incredible beaches and nightlife in places like Tulum and Cancun. Overall it’s a destination that has a lot to offer groups regardless of their demographic or interests.
Japan
I visited Tokyo very early on in my career and found the city so full of energy that I was almost overwhelmed, but now that I am older and more experienced I can truly appreciate the uniqueness of the capital’s ‘mega-city’ status. What’s more Japan has so much more to offer, with its tranquil temples in Kyoto and the peaceful island of Okinawa. It’s a destination that really combines the future and the past.
Montenegro
One country that I think gets overlooked is Montenegro - often overshadowed by the popularity of Croatia. But just a short drive away and you are in the luxurious Porto Montenegro. The port is like the South of France, the bays feel like the lakes of Northern Italy and the old walled city of Kotor is like Dubrovnik - if it was crawling up a mountain. The mountains are also great for adventurous activities.
Kenya
I will always love a safari in the Maasai Mara. There is something insanely magical about being on the plains of Africa and seeing some of the world’s most impressive wildlife in its natural habitat. What’s more, when you escape the light pollution of big cities the night sky becomes an incredible tapestry of stars. Having an open-air bush dinner in a setting like this is truly life-changing.
Bahamas
You can’t go wrong with the Caribbean - the beautiful ocean views and perfect beaches are the definition of paradise. But what I like about the Bahamas is that you can also do more than just sunbathe with a cocktail. Swimming with pigs is a real unique bucket-list experience, and for those brave individuals who want to take it a step further, you can swim with sharks too.
